Job summary

Calvary Elouera, Torquay VIC, is seeking a Team Leader to supervise and coordinate care for residents, supporting the Clinical Care Coordinator and Registered Nurse. The role involves ensuring dignity and respect and supervising shifts on the designated wing.

This position is open to Endorsed Enrolled Nurses, with casual shifts and a flexible roster to suit lifestyle and patient needs. You will participate in medication management, nutrition, and hydration oversight within a supportive team

Qualifications

• Diploma of Enrolled Nursing with AHPRA Registration to administer medication.
• High level of commitment, integrity, honesty and trustworthiness.
• Effective listener and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• IT literacy and ability to learn new software as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide social and emotional support to residents with holistic, person-centred care.
• Coordinate care needs across the home, including medication management and nutrition.
• Lead/supervise care on the shift within the designated wing or area.
• Perform medicine-related tasks in accordance with qualification scope and Calvary policies.

About the role

The Team Leader plays an integral role in the provision of high-quality care to our residents at all times. The Team Leader supports the Clinical Care Coordinator and Registered Nurse to supervise and coordinate care to the residents across the home whilst actively ensuring the individual needs, wishes and goals of each resident is met within an environment where they feel supported, valued and treated with dignity and respect.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide social and emotional support to all residents ensuring that care provision is holistic and person centred.
• Support the coordination of the care needs of residents across the home including medication management, nutrition and hydration, pressure care management
• Lead/supervise care on the shift, within their designated wing or area.
• Perform medicine related tasks in accordance with scope of qualification, state or territory legislation, regulation and Calvary policies, procedures for delegation and supervision.

About you

• Diploma of Enrolled Nursing (with AHPRA Registration to administer medication)
• High level of commitment, integrity, honesty and trustworthiness
• An effective listener with the ability to communicate at all levels both orally and in writing
• Ability to understand and use information technology and programs and to learn new skills as required.
• Current National police check
• Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control
• A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
