Job summary

Calvary Millward in Doncaster East VIC is seeking a Team Leader (Casual) to support the Clinical Care Coordinator and RN, supervise care on shift, and ensure residents' needs are met with dignity.

This role is open to Endorsed Enrolled Nurses. Casual shifts with flexible roster, salary packaging, benefits and professional development available within Calvary’s supportive team.

Qualifications

• Diploma of Enrolled Nursing with AHPRA registration to administer medication.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide social and emotional support to residents; ensure holistic, person-centred care.
• Coordinate care needs across the home including medication management and nutrition.
• Lead/supervise care on shift within designated wing or area.

About the role

The Team Leader plays an integral role in the provision of high-quality care to our residents at all times. The Team Leader supports the Clinical Care Coordinator and Registered Nurse to supervise and coordinate care to the residents across the home whilst actively ensuring the individual needs, wishes and goals of each resident is met within an environment where they feel supported, valued and treated with dignity and respect.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide social and emotional support to all residents ensuring that care provision is holistic and person centred.
• Support the coordination of the care needs of residents across the home including medication management, nutrition and hydration, pressure care management
• Lead/supervise care on the shift, within their designated wing or area.
• Perform medicine related tasks in accordance with scope of qualification, state or territory legislation, regulation and Calvary policies, procedures for delegation and supervision.

About you

• Relevant qualifications:
  • Diploma of Enrolled Nursing (with AHPRA Registration to administer medication)
• High level of commitment, integrity, honesty and trustworthiness
• An effective listener with the ability to communicate at all levels both orally and in writing
• Ability to understand and use information technology and programs and to learn new skills as required.
• Current National police check
• Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control
• A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
