About the Role

We are looking for a DC Team Leader to join our site in Salisbury. Responsible for a team of 14 members, managing the route picking operations, safety, service productivity cost, transport which includes 3PL providers. The Team Leader will essentially manage a rotation of afternoon and night shift - logistics warehousing and distribution operations to ensure an efficient and cost-effective operation. The role will also provide the first point of contact for warehouse related Safety, People, Operational, Quality, Service, and Cost issues.

Utilising your previous experience of leading teams, you will identify opportunities to develop your people and continuously improve the operations.

Other responsibilities

  • Lead the DC workforce to achieve safety, cost, quality, and customer service targets.
  • Ensure DC activities are within budget parameters
  • Drive continuous improvement across Logistics to deliver improvements in Safety, Quality, Cost and Efficiency through use of Bega Excellence (BEX) principles
  • Embed problem solving practices to identify root cause and drive continuous improvement
  • Ensure the DC's processes and procedures meet safety, quality and environmental requirements for equipment, materials, methods and people


About you

  • Hands-on leadership experience and ideally working in a FMCG Supply Chain environment or cold-chain networks
  • Solid experience in DC, storage, warehouse, or transport management
  • Background in safety systems & programs, cold chain compliance metrics
  • Exposure to LEAN manufacturing principles
  • Degree qualification in a Logistics or related discipline preferred

Our Salisbury site in Adelaide's northern suburbs manufactures a range of more than 78 milk and milk-based products. This site is a combined production and distribution facility producing well-known brands such as Pura, Dairy Farmers, Farmers Union, and Feel Good; and distributes across predominantly SA and NT, but also NSW and VIC.
