LET’S EXPLORE THE JOB

As Team Leader Business Support, you will lead the City Works Business Support team and oversee the support services that enable City Works to deliver civil construction and maintenance outcomes for our community. You will guide workloads, coach staff, build capability and create a positive team culture focused on service, accuracy and accountability.

This role is central to the processes that keep the department running smoothly, including purchase orders, invoices, procure-to-pay activities and contractor administration. You will provide subject matter expertise, maintain strong checks and balances and support compliance requirements, including the Security of Payment Act.

Working closely with internal teams, contractors and suppliers, you will help coordinate information, resolve issues and improve how work is delivered.

You are a confident and supportive leader who can bring people together, manage competing priorities and maintain high standards in a busy service environment.

You will bring strong financial and procurement administration knowledge, with experience across invoices, purchase orders, contractor administration and end-to-end process controls. You understand why governance matters, can identify issues early and are comfortable providing technical guidance and practical solutions. Experience supporting customer requests across Built and Natural Assets or a similar operational setting will be valued, and civil construction knowledge will be a distinct advantage.

If you enjoy practical problem solving, improving processes and helping others deliver their best work, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
