Overview

The opportunity

The Team Leader, Business Analyst Practice, is responsible for leading and coordinating the successful delivery of the IT roadmap through the application of effective and fit-for-purpose business analysis methodologies. This leadership role oversees the Business Analyst Centre of Excellence (CoE), managing day-to-day operations, resource allocation, and performance reporting to ensure consistent, high-quality outcomes. Over time, the Team Leader will drive continuous improvement within the practice by enhancing team capability, refining tools and techniques, and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing, collaboration, and professional growth.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of Business Analysts and technology professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, engagement, and high performance while ensuring alignment with IT&D goals and risk considerations.
  • Oversee the Business Analyst Centre of Excellence (CoE), managing resources to meet IT&D portfolio needs and ensuring delivery of high-quality, timely, and cost-effective business analysis outcomes.
  • Drive continuous improvement and uplift the maturity of the CoE by enhancing frameworks, methodologies, governance, cost modelling, and capability development across the practice.
  • Elicit, define, and manage functional and non-functional requirements to deliver solutions that meet customer and business needs, ensuring alignment with organisational goals, standards, and operating models.
  • Design and optimise business processes and workflows, developing user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation that support effective solution design and implementation.
Skills & Experience
  • Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Extensive experience leading technology or business analysis teams within a complex corporate environment.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, with a talent for translating complex information into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences.
  • Strong organisational skills and adaptability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic settings, effectively managing competing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Minimum of five years\' experience in business analysis, with a deep understanding of analysis methodologies, frameworks, and best practices.
  • At least two years of demonstrated leadership or management experience, guiding teams and projects to successful delivery.
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information technology or related field.
  • Certification in PRINCE2 or BABOK (desirable)
