Job summary

Veritas Education is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Redbridge (East London) on a permanent, full-time basis. You will support pupils across the classroom, providing 1:1 and small-group support, and help children develop academically and personally.

Essentially, you will work closely with the class teacher, assist with interventions and learning activities, and help maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or above.
• Experience working with children in school or similar setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, positive and enthusiastic approach to learning.

Requirements

Essential:

• GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above)
• Experience working with children in a school, childcare or similar setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A patient, positive and enthusiastic approach
• A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development

Desirable:

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant
• Experience supporting pupils with SENLevel 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
• Degree in Education, Psychology or a related subject
