Position Details

St Thomas More Catholic Primary School is a single-stream regional school catering for approximately 220 students from Pre-Kindy to Year 6.


We are seeking a dynamic, highly skilled and passionate Technologies Teacher to teach students in Years 4–6. The successful applicant will be vibrant, enthusiastic and motivated, with a genuine passion for engaging students in Technologies and creating purposeful, hand‑on learning experiences.


The successful applicant will be committed to high-quality teaching and learning, building positive relationships with students and working collaboratively as part of a fun, energetic and supportive team within the ethos and values of Catholic Education.


This is a Temporary Part-Time position (0.1 FTE), involving one half-day per week for Semester 1 2027.



Selection Criteria


  • A commitment to Catholic education and the Catholic ethos of the school, preferably as a practising Catholic, with a willingness to contribute positively to the Catholic life and community of the school.

  • A strong knowledge and understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum, particularly Technologies, with the ability to plan, organise and deliver engaging, purposeful and differentiated learning experiences that cater for the needs and abilities of all students.

  • High-quality teaching practice, including an understanding and effective application of Explicit Teaching and High Impact Teaching Strategies, with high expectations for student learning and achievement.

  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills, with the ability to establish a positive, safe and engaging learning environment that encourages students to be creative, curious, collaborative and confident learners.

  • High-level skills and knowledge in technologies, with a commitment to integrating technologies purposefully and effectively into teaching and learning.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated and professional teaching team and contribute to a positive professional learning community.

  • A positive, enthusiastic and dynamic approach to teaching, with a willingness to be fully involved in the life of the school and contribute to school activities and initiatives as required.

  • A commitment to ongoing professional learning and reflection, with the ability to respond positively to feedback, evaluate teaching practice and contribute to continuous school improvement.
