Job summary

Total Remuneration Package: Remuneration package valued at up to $156,253.00. Base salary ranges from $90,177.00 to $137,861.00, plus leave loading and employer's contribution to superannuation. Base salary rates above the minimum are available depending on experience.

Mudgee Public School has approximately 545 students across 19 mainstream and 8 support classes, serving a diverse rural community with a wide range of socioeconomic backgrounds. With an Aboriginal population of around 22%, the school maintains a strong partnership with the Mudgee AECG. Specific Selection Criteria

• Approval to teach Special Education and/or experience teaching students with Autism and Behaviour Difficulties, with a strong commitment to and passion in inclusive education. Willing to teach mild and moderate intellectual disabilities, emotional disturbances and complex challenging behaviours
• Work collaboratively with parents and carers, School Learning Support Officers (SLSOs), allied health professionals and multidisciplinary teams to empower student voice, independence, learning and wellbeing.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, deliver, and assess high-quality, explicit teaching and learning programs that are aligned to the syllabus, highly differentiated and responsive to the individual needs of students with complex disabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to apply strong classroom management skills with school-wide wellbeing practices, to support inclusion, integration and connectedness.

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
