Sarina is a historical town located in the Mackay region of Queensland, Australia. Sarina can trace its European history back to 1882 and even further through the Wiri, Barada Barna Kabalbara and Yetimarla, Yuibera, Birri-Gubba and Kungalburra peoples who all have strong associations with the Sarina area. The Aboriginal language name for the Sarina/Plane Creek area is ‘Ilbilbie’.

Current Opportunities
  • Primary - Year 5/6 (Permanent)
  • Primary - The Arts (Permanent) The school is seeking a The Arts teacher with strong expertise in Primary Music. While Music is the primary focus, the role also includes teaching Dance, Drama, Visual Arts, and Media Arts as part of the broader curriculum.
  • Primary - Japanese - Circuit position based at Sarina SS (Temporary 1.0 FTE until 12/12/2025) Years 4-6
