Canterbury College in Brisbane invites applications for an outstanding Mathematics teacher to join the Senior School, teaching Years 7–12 including Mathematical Methods. You will join a collegial, high-performing faculty and contribute to our World Ready program.
You will plan rigorous lessons, maintain accurate records and lead moderation, while collaborating with staff, parents and the wider school community in a supportive, capable learning environment.
Full-time, permanent position commencing in 2027
Canterbury College is an Anglican ELC to Year 12 school whose academic record stands among the strongest in Queensland. In 2025, more than half of our ATAR-eligible Year 12 students achieved an ATAR of 90 or above. That result was produced by a community that expects its students to excel in the classroom while they compete in sport, perform on stage, serve others and lead among their peers.
Canterbury serves the fast-growing corridor of Logan, the northern Gold Coast, the Scenic Rim and southern Brisbane. We are a Microsoft Beacon School and a member of Round Square, and everything we do is directed toward graduates who are World Ready. Mathematics sits at the centre of that ambition. Our students go on to medicine, engineering, economics, data science and the physical sciences, and they reach those fields because their mathematics teachers asked a great deal of them.
We are seeking an outstanding Mathematics teacher to join our Senior School, teaching across Years 7 to 12, including Mathematical Methods. You will join a collegial, high-performing faculty that sets demanding standards for itself and shares its practice openly.
In this role you will:

We are committed to creating a workplace that is inclusive and respectful, and we welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, identities and experiences. Regardless of your religious, gender, sexuality or cultural identity, you have a home at Canterbury.
Canterbury College supports the rights of children and young people and is committed to the safety and wellbeing of every student enrolled at the College. The successful applicant will be required to adhere to the College's policies and procedures relating to student care and protection.
