Salary: Teacher, $85,610 - $124,016 per annum (pro-rata) (SEA GA 2023)

Current Status: This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2026

The Role

West Byford Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic Primary Teacher with specialization in Health and Physical Education (HPE) to deliver the HPE curriculum across Pre-Primary to Year 6. The successful applicant will ideally work with another HPE team member and also be capable of independent work as required.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about high-quality teaching and learning in HPE and Wellbeing, energetic, committed, and driven to engage students in physical activities that promote overall health. The role requires exceptional organizational skills to plan, schedule, and coordinate school-wide sporting events, including Athletics and Cross-Country Carnivals, interschool sports, and other extracurricular activities. The successful applicant should build respectful and professional relationships with the Byford Sporting Schools Association and help organise interschool carnivals, promoting teamwork within the community. A key aspect is forming positive relationships with students and differentiating instruction to meet diverse needs.

As part of the school culture, you will contribute to morning fitness sessions and extracurricular sporting activities, with swimming lessons and carnivals among available opportunities.
