Job summary

YMCA Brisbane is seeking a Teacher Aide at Y Schools Queensland, Fortitude Valley, on-site five days a week. This permanent full-time role supports teachers, students and families with learning activities and administrative duties in a supportive school environment.

You will assist with literacy and numeracy interventions, supervise small groups, and help prepare resources in line with curriculum and policies.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Cert IV in Education Support or equivalent.
• Experience supporting teachers and students in learning activities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificates, or willingness to obtain them.
• Positive Notice Blue Card, or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers, students and parents with learning activities and admin duties.
• Supervise small groups and implement learning activities designed by a teacher.
• Support literacy and numeracy interventions.
• Prepare resources aligned with intervention programs and curriculum.
• Assist with data collection to assess student progress.
