Additional Needs Teacher

Position Type: Full time temporary

FTE: 1.0 FTE

Commencement date: 28 January 2027

Term of Appointment: For the 2027 school year

Applicants must:

• hold a valid NSW Working with Children Check


• have full accreditation with NSW Educational Standards Authority (NESA)


• comply with the Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead Policy upon appointment

Criteria:

• have a knowledge of and commitment to the Catholic ethos and mission of the school


• provide evidence of qualifications in a specialised faculty


• able to work as a member of a committed team of professional teachers, dedicated to providing quality teaching and learning in partnership with the parent community


• demonstrated ability to work closely with the Leader of Inclusion to manage, mentor, and support a large team of learning support teachers and education assistants within the faculty


• understanding of, and experience with the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) process, with proven capability in leading the collection, verification, and moderation of evidence to ensure strict legislative compliance


• demonstrated knowledge of NESA Disability Provisions, including implementing HSC exam provisions, Life Skills curriculum pathways, and modified assessment tasks to support equitable curriculum access for high school students.


• proven capacity to partner with students, parents, and health professionals to design and implement individualised adjustments and learning plans that foster inclusive high school environments
