You will prepare complex returns (GST, FBT, payroll tax), provide specialist advice, support improvements to financial processes and collaborate with agencies to maintain accurate records and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing and reviewing complex taxation returns including GST, FBT and payroll tax.
• Understanding of taxation legislation, rulings, compliance obligations and governance frameworks.
• Experience undertaking financial reconciliations, analysing financial data and preparing reports.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex statutory taxation returns including GST, FBT and Payroll Tax, with supporting working papers.
• Provide taxation advice and guidance to client agencies ensuring compliance with legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with clients and external taxation authorities to resolve enquiries and support timely reporting.
• Promote high standards of customer service and meet service delivery targets.
• Research changes to taxation legislation and communicate implications to stakeholders.
• Contribute to development and implementation of taxation policies and processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting, QA, risk management and business processes.
• Support colleagues in delivering accurate taxation services across a broad client base.
• Analyse financial data and prepare reconciliations and supporting documentation.
• Maintain accurate records in accordance with records management legislation and policies.
