Zusammenfassung

Boral is seeking a Tax Analyst to bring clear, practical tax expertise to the Finance team and the wider business in Australia. You’ll deliver accurate tax compliance and reporting and help leaders understand the tax impact of business decisions.

You’ll prepare income tax returns, GST, FBT, and tax effect accounting workpapers, support reviews and audits, and drive 1% improvements in processes across the function.

Qualifikationen

• CA/CPA or equivalent and tertiary qualification relevant to tax.
• Experience in a corporate tax team or professional services.
• Strong knowledge of Australian income tax, GST and FBT.
• Proficient with Excel and ERP/tax software.
• Clear communication turning complex tax issues into simple advice.
• Track record of meeting deadlines and owning commitments.

Aufgaben

• Prepare income tax returns, schedules and supporting workpapers for the Boral group of entities.
• Review monthly GST returns (BAS) and prepare the Supplementary Annual GST Return (SAGR).
• Prepare FBT returns and workpapers, and support payroll tax and superannuation guarantee compliance.
• Prepare tax effect accounting calculations and reconciliations for half-year and full-year reporting.
• Support on ATO and state revenue office reviews, audits and information requests.
• Support on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and other material business transactions.
• Research tax law and rulings, and give clear, practical advice to business units and functional teams.
• Look for ways to improve our systems and processes, in line with our focus on 1% improvement every day.
