Job summary

PKF Sydney seeks an ambitious Senior Accountant to join the Tax team in the heart of Sydney CBD. You will manage client relationships, deliver high-quality tax and business advisory services, and mentor junior colleagues.

The role offers broad exposure to diverse clients, opportunities for leadership, and a supportive culture that values work-life balance and professional development.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualification.
• 3 to 5+ years' experience in a similar role.
• Experience within a mid-tier, Big 4, or professional services environment.
• Strong technical accounting and taxation knowledge.
• Proficiency in Xero and MYOB.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review income tax returns and financial statements.
• Provide meaningful business insights through management reports.
• Review and prepare BAS and IAS returns.
• Prepare interim financial accounts.
• Assist clients with tax planning and advisory solutions.
• Analyse and review financial accounts.
• Prepare tax effect accounting calculations.
• Manage payroll processing and payroll tax obligations.
• Prepare and lodge FBT returns.
• Present financial information and recommendations to clients.
• Support, mentor and develop junior team members.

You will bring:

• CA or CPA qualification
• 3 to 5+ years' experience in a similar role
• Experience within a mid-tier, Big 4, or professional services environment

• Proficiency in Xero and MYOB
