We're looking for a passionate hospitality professional to join the Giant Steps team. You'll bring our wines to life through engaging tastings and help keep our Tasting Room humming day to day. Giant Steps is a benchmark Yarra Valley winery, renowned for world-class Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. We are seeking a Tasting Room Assistant to join our Direct to Consumer team and help create unforgettable guest experiences that bring the Giant Steps story to life.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and host guests with warmth, professionalism and attention to detail
• Lead premium tastings, tailoring each experience and sharing the Giant Steps story in a way that resonates
• Actively promote wine sales through engaging storytelling and genuine service
• Support Wine Club activities: encourage sign-ups, assist with member shipments, and ensure members feel valued and at home
• Assist with Tasting Room operations including bookings, POS transactions, packaging and shipping logistics
• Maintain a high standard of presentation across the Tasting Room, ensuring a consistently welcoming and brand-aligned environment

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2+ years’ experience in hospitality, wine service or a related customer-facing role
• Strong knowledge of wine and genuine enthusiasm for sharing it; WSET Level 2 or equivalent desirable
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage a wide range of guests
• Organised, proactive, and calm under pressure
• A natural storyteller with a passion for delivering memorable hospitality
