Job summary

The Department of Health Tasmania is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Flinders Island team. The role offers up to 76 hours per fortnight in a multipurpose facility with 24/7 emergency care and sub-acute beds. You will provide high-quality nursing care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and support patients and families in a remote Tasmanian setting.

Permanent, full-time, fully rotational. Salary ranges from $80,524 to $109,175 per annum with generous allowances and superannuation.

Qualifications

• Registered with NMBA as a Registered Nurse.
• Post-graduate experience in emergency and aged care preferred.
• Understanding of living and working in a remote setting.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing shift patterns.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care across hospital departments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Support patients and families through their healthcare journey.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
