Job summary

SGH Transport Pty Ltd based in Mildura is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to coordinate day-to-day tanker transport operations across Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia.

The role requires 35 hours per week in the office, generally Monday to Friday, with a 40-hour salary framework and potential after-hours support. You will schedule drivers, manage vehicles and ensure timely deliveries while maintaining compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport, logistics, fleet coordination, scheduling or similar.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication with drivers, customers, suppliers and management.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to provide after-hours operational support.
• Hands-on approach to transport operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage monthly driver and staff rosters to ensure adequate operational coverage.
• Coordinate daily tanker deliveries to company sites and third-party customers across three states.
• Develop efficient delivery schedules and allocate drivers and vehicles based on customer requirements, vehicle availability and operational priorities.
• Monitor customer fuel requirements, including tank dips, stock levels and delivery records, to assist with accurate and timely scheduling.
• Monitor intercompany fuel stock levels and assist with maintaining appropriate stock availability.
• Provide support to drivers regarding operational issues, including out-of-hours breakdowns and delivery-related matters.
• Ensure transport and delivery paperwork is completed accurately and processed in a timely manner.
• Liaise with customers, drivers, suppliers and internal management to resolve operational issues.
• Assist management with transport planning, operational reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure transport activities are undertaken in accordance with company policies, safety requirements and relevant regulatory obligations.
• Maintain accurate records relating to drivers, vehicles, deliveries and compliance.
• Oversee vehicle compliance requirements, including servicing, inspections, tyres, maintenance schedules and associated records.
