Job summary

Based from our Gladstone depot, you’ll operate a B-Double fuel tanker delivering fuel products across Central Queensland on a rotating triple-shift roster. You’ll join a supportive team at Ampol Petroleum Distribution, with opportunities to develop your driving career and maintain high safety standards.

You’ll need a current MC Licence, proven heavy vehicle experience, strong safety focus and excellent customer service. No fuel industry experience? training is provided to the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Current MC Licence is essential.
• Proven heavy vehicle driving experience.
• Strong safety focus throughout daily tasks.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Professional attitude and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work a rotating triple-shift roster.
• Reliability and commitment to doing the job right.
• Fuel transport experience and tanker exposure are desired but not essential.
• Dangerous Goods (DG) Licence and Safe Loading Pass (SLP) are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate a modern B-Double tanker safely and professionally.
• Complete deliveries across Central Queensland.
• Conduct pre-start inspections and vehicle checks.
• Manage delivery documentation and compliance.
• Build positive relationships with customers.
• Maintain safety and professionalism at all times.
• Collaborate with the operations team to ensure reliable service.
