Job summary

UGL is seeking a tanker driver to operate a fuel truck on a Defence base in Australia. You will load fuel, deliver to aircraft or refuelling points, and perform fuel quality checks and vehicle inspections to ensure compliance.

The role is a 38-hour week, Monday to Friday, with day and afternoon shifts and a rotating on‑call roster for weekends or after-hours work. Applicants must be an Australian citizen with HC and DG licences.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid HC licence for heavy vehicles.
• Dangerous Goods licence is required.
• Australian citizenship and ability to pass a police check.
• Experience driving fuel tankers and completing compliance reporting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive a fuel tanker around the Defence base to refuelling points.
• Load fuel, deliver to aircraft or designated refuelling points.
• Carry out fuel quality checks and vehicle inspections.
• Maintain and submit required reporting and compliance records.
• Work a 38‑hour week, Monday to Friday with specified shifts.

Job description

The role involves driving a fuel tanker around the Defence base, loading fuel, and delivering it to aircraft or designated refuelling points.

The role also includes completing fuel quality checks, conducting vehicle inspections, and making sure all required reporting and compliance records are kept up to date.

It’s a 38-hour week in a hands‑on role that supports a good work-life balance. Shifts are Monday to Friday:

Day: 6:00am – 2:00pm

Afternoon: 2:00pm – 10:00pm (with 20% loading)

There is a rotating on‑call roster to cover any weekend or after-hours work.
