Job summary

Platinum-Blasting-Services is seeking a Talent Acquisition Coordinator in Brisbane CBD with flexible arrangements. You’ll own the end-to-end recruitment cycle, attracting candidates for operational, technical and corporate roles, and coordinate assessments, interviews and pre-employment checks.

You’ll build talent pipelines across Australia for regional Queensland sites and partner with leaders to deliver a great candidate experience.

Qualifications

• Around three years' experience managing end-to-end recruitment (in-house or agency).
• Recruitment experience in mining, resources or a similar industry.
• Proven headhunting and sourcing capability with a track record of filling niche roles.
• Able to work independently, manage competing priorities and own workload.
• Strong communication and stakeholder skills, with confidence working with operational leaders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end recruitment across a diverse portfolio of vacancies.
• Source talent for niche and hard-to-fill roles through direct approach, networks, job boards and social media.
• Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and agree on the right approach.
• Conduct phone screens and assess candidates against role requirements, tickets and competencies.
• Schedule, organise and take part in interviews where required.
• Ensure candidates have the relevant SOAs, tickets or requirements to operate in the role.
• Complete reference checks and coordinate pre-employment requirements including medicals.
• Build and maintain talent pipelines for our critical roles.
• Help drive talent initiatives such as talent pools and employer branding.
• Keep recruitment records accurate and up to date.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, you'll be hands-on across the full recruitment cycle. You'll find and approach talent in a competitive market, then screen, interview and secure the right people for our sites. You'll know where to find niche skill sets and how to attract candidates from across Australia to regional Queensland roles.

This role is ideal if you're someone who wants to be involved with strategic sourcing, finesse their hands-on recruitment coordination and gets a kick out of delivering an outstanding candidate experience.

What You'll Do

• Coordinate end-to-end recruitment across a diverse portfolio of vacancies
• Source talent for niche and hard-to-fill roles through direct approach, networks, job boards and social media
• Partner with hiring managers to understand their workforce needs and agree on the right approach
• Conduct phone screens and assess candidates against role requirements, tickets and competencies
• Schedule, organise and take part in interviews (where required)
• Ensure candidates have the relevant SOAs, tickets or requirements to operate in the role
• Complete reference checks and coordinate pre-employment requirements including pre-employment medicals
• Build and maintain talent pipelines for our critical roles
• Help drive talent initiatives, such as talent pools, referral programs and employer branding
• Keep recruitment records accurate and up to date
• Deliver a positive candidate experience from application to start date that reflects who we are

What You'll Need

Must-haves:

• Right to work in Australia without restriction
• Around three years' experience managing end-to-end recruitment (in-house or agency)
• Recruitment experience in mining, resources or a similar industry, such as civil, construction, energy or FIFO/DIDO workforces
• Demonstrated experience recruiting interstate candidates for regional or site-based roles
• Proven headhunting and sourcing capability with a track record of filling niche roles
• Able to work independently, manage competing priorities and own your workload
• Strong communication and stakeholder skills, with confidence working with operational leaders

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Queensland coal mining requirements e.g. Standard 11, Coal Board Medicals and various explosive licensing
