Job summary

Aurecon is seeking a Talent Acquisition Consultant for the Regional Queensland Portfolio, based in Brisbane. The role covers recruitment across Transport, Energy, Industrial, Water, Environment & Land, and Buildings, with travel within Queensland.

You will lead end-to-end recruitment, partner with regional leaders, and develop the graduate and intern pipeline while leveraging Workday and other modern tools to improve candidate experiences.

Talent Acquisition Consultant - Regional Queensland Portfolio

Full-time | 12-month Contract | Brisbane

Are you a recruiter who loves building relationships, getting close to the business and making a genuine impact across regional communities?

We're looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition Partner to join our Queensland Talent Acquisition team, based in Brisbane with a dedicated focus on supporting our regional Queensland businesses.

This is a broad and varied recruitment role supporting our regional offices and teams across Transport, Energy, Industrial (Resources), Water, Environment & Land and Buildings. You'll recruit across a diverse mix of engineering and professional disciplines, partnering closely with regional leaders to help build the capability our growing teams need.

Importantly, you'll also play a key role in developing our regional early careers pipeline, supporting Graduate and Intern recruitment and building strong relationships with universities and emerging talent across Queensland.

Some travel to our regional Queensland offices and university locations will be required, giving you the opportunity to build strong relationships on the ground and stay connected to the communities and talent markets you support.

About the Role

As a trusted talent partner to our regional teams, you will:

• Lead end-to-end recruitment across Transport, Energy, Industrial (Resources), Water, Environment & Land and Buildings
• Recruit across a broad range of engineering, technical and professional disciplines, from early careers through to experienced hires
• Partner closely with regional leaders and hiring managers to understand workforce needs and develop practical, targeted recruitment strategies
• Proactively source and engage talent across regional Queensland and broader national markets
• Support Graduate and Intern recruitment, helping identify and attract the next generation of regional talent
• Build relationships with universities, students and relevant industry networks across Queensland
• Represent Aurecon at career fairs, university events and regional talent initiatives
• Provide market insights and recruitment advice to help leaders navigate challenging and talent-short markets
• Use recruitment systems, technology, data and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency and candidate experience
• Support consistent recruitment processes, governance and best practice across our regional offices

About You

We're looking for a recruiter who enjoys variety, autonomy and being genuinely connected to the business.

You'll ideally bring:

• Strong recruitment experience gained within an in-house, agency or combined environment
• Experience recruiting professional, technical or engineering talent
• Confidence managing a broad portfolio of roles across different disciplines and levels
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with regional and senior leaders
• A proactive sourcing mindset and confidence approaching passive talent
• An interest in Graduate, Intern and early careers recruitment
• Strong communication, influencing and relationship-building skills
• Experience using recruitment systems and ATS platforms, with Workday experience highly regarded
• Confidence using emerging technology, AI-enabled tools and data insights to support smarter recruitment
• An agile, solutions-focused approach and the ability to adapt as regional hiring priorities change
• Flexibility to travel within Queensland as required

Experience recruiting within engineering, infrastructure, transport, resources, water, environment or buildings would be highly regarded.
