The Tackling Indigenous Smoking Coordinator role is based in Broome on a full-time basis and reports to the Population Health Senior Manager at Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Services.
You will lead a regional population health program delivered through KAMS member services, building strong partnerships across Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services and driving activities to reduce tobacco and vape use while raising awareness of harms.
Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Services Ltd (KAMS) serves as the peak regional Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service (ACCHS) in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. Since our establishment in 1986, KAMS has provided a unified voice for Aboriginal health and well-being, advocating for community needs and delivering centralised resources in partnership with our Member Services.

The Tackling Indigenous Smoking Coordinator will be based in Broome on a Full-time basisand will report to the Population Health Senior Manager.
This is a unique opportunity to lead a significant regional population health program delivered through KAMS member services. Working across a geographically diverse network of Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services, you will build strong partnerships, strengthen program capacity and ensure TIS activities are responsive to the priorities and needs of Kimberley communities.
The role will provide strategic leadership, program coordination and operational oversight, supporting member services to establish meaningful goals, implement effective activity workplans and deliver outcomes that contribute to reducing tobacco and vape use and increasing awareness of its harmful effects.
You will represent KAMS and its member services across regional, State and national forums, develop and maintain key stakeholder relationships, and provide high-level strategic advice to KAMS Senior and Executive Managers. You will also oversee program budgets, contractual obligations, evaluation and performance reporting, ensuring the program is effectively governed, accountable and aligned with the principles of Aboriginal Community Control.

This position offers a competitive base salary of$105,843per annum pro rata, along with additional benefits including:
