Job summary

Prodigi Consulting is seeking two Systems Trainers for a Canberra/Melbourne-based federal transformation program. You will report to the Training Manager within the Change Management Team and help deliver training outcomes that enable adoption of new systems and ways of working.

As a Systems Trainer, you will plan and execute the training strategy, liaising with stakeholders to ensure fit-for-purpose materials support adoption.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently or in a team while contributing to Program objectives.
  • Experience across the full training cycle: assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate.
  • Ability to understand learner needs and translate them into high-quality training materials.
  • Experience creating fit-for-purpose training materials including guides, videos, and modules.
  • Experience designing, delivering, and evaluating learning and development programs.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement across diverse groups.

Responsibilities

  • Lead innovative training strategies under the Training Manager for digital transformation.
  • Collaborate with Change Team to understand business requirements and schedule training activities.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness from current to future states and ensure users are equipped.
  • Create engaging and fit-for-purpose training materials and modules.
  • Build strong relationships across the Program and business to support adoption.
  • Coordinate training schedules to align with change and adoption activities.
  • Deliver training sessions both virtually and in-person per program needs.
  • Provide reporting on training delivery, uptake, and outcomes.

Job description

Term: Contract - Start ASAP until 30 June 2027

Level: APS6 equivalent

We are looking to recruit 2 Systems Trainers for our Federal client transformation program. They will report to the Training Manager within the Change Management Team and play a key role in delivering training outcomes for a Government Program. Working closely with the broader Change Management Section and Agency Training teams, the role will support the development and delivery of targeted learning solutions that enable successful adoption of new systems and ways of working.

The Change Management Team provides change, communications, training, and transition support to the Government Program through the embedded Change Management Team. The training capability within the Change Management Team consists of a Training Manager and supporting Systems Trainers, who will collectively shape the direction of training and capability uplift for a strategically significant transformation program.

As a Systems Trainer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Training Manager by planning and executing the training strategy for the Program. You’ll act as the vital link between the program and business, working closely with a diverse range of stakeholders to ensure fit for purpose materials are developed to support adoption. Your focus will be to create and support the delivery of tailored training materials and strategies that enhance people’s capabilities and drive adoption.

The candidate must hold an active Baseline security clearance prior to commencement.

Key duties and responsibilities
  • Innovate and lead creative training strategies under the guidance of the Training Manager to support digital transformation in a complex program environment, ensuring readiness for the new system.
  • Collaborate with the Change Team to understand business requirements and assist in delivering change and training activities according to the overall Program schedule and approach
  • Support the evaluation and analysis of training from current state to future states to support the transition, ensuring users are fully equipped
  • Craft engaging and fit for purpose training materials
  • Foster strong and meaningful relationships across the Program and business to ensure training activities are well understood and effectively adopted.
  • Coordinate the training schedule to support change and business adoption activities
  • Support the delivery of training sessions, both virtually and in-person, aligning with the training schedule and program needs
  • Provide consistent reporting on training delivery, uptake, and success, validating outcomes with end users and their leaders
Essential criteria
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team whilst contributing positively to the achievement of the Program objectives.
  • Proven ability to contribute to the full training cycle; assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate.
  • Knowledge of how to understand and evaluate learner needs with the objective of delivering high level training and knowledge documents.
  • Experience developing fit-for-purpose training materials including guides, videos, and modules for diverse audiences.
  • Experience developing, delivering, and evaluating learning and development programs and initiatives.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills across a diverse stakeholder group.
  • High quality written communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills to support the assessment and planning of training strategies.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to liaise, negotiate, and represent effectively.
  • Ability to manage multiple work packages simultaneously whilst understanding dependencies and ensuring progress and quality.
  • Understanding of Agile project delivery and change management frameworks, with experience in supporting training outcomes for large-scale programs.
