Job summary

Silentium Defence, located at Gepps Cross, South Australia, is seeking engineers to join our Systems Engineering team. We offer permanent, full-time roles focusing on integrating and maturing passive radar and sensing systems for defence, government and commercial environments.

Ideal candidates have a degree in engineering and some experience across mechanical, electrical or software domains. Presence of AGSVA Baseline clearance or ability to obtain one is advantageous; Australian citizenship is

Qualifications

• You have a degree in an engineering field and several years' experience.
• Experience in integrating engineering systems across mechanical, electrical and software domains.
• Knowledge of MBSE or model-based engineering is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead system definition activities including requirements, architectures and interfaces.
• Develop and maintain requirements traceability across design, integration and verification.
• Support system design, trade studies and technical decision making.
• Work closely with hardware, software and integration teams to ensure cohesive system outcomes.
• Contribute to system integration, verification and validation planning.
• Identify, manage and mitigate technical risks and system level issues.

Located at our head office in Gepps Cross, South Australia, there are multiple full-time permanent roles available to join our Systems Engineering team and be part of the next phase of defence technology. We are looking for people from all engineering functions that have a demonstrated interest in the integration of an engineering system. This is your opportunity to practice model-based engineering, pioneer new approaches, and support the leadership of our key projects. What you will do:

About you:

You may have worked in mechanical, electrical, or software engineering for a few years and are looking for your next career move in a fast-paced, progressive environment. You may be a generalist across engineering domains, or have experience in testing, validation, and verification. Either way, you will be proactive, curious, and interested in going beyond your designated function. You have a desire to understand how systems work and will do what it takes to prove that it does.

You will have next level attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and enjoy working with others. You will be degree qualified in an engineering function, and you may have an existing AGSVA Baseline clearance or above, or at least the ability to obtain one.
