Job summary

Aussie Broadband is seeking a Systems Engineer/Administrator to support and maintain our server infrastructure, both on-premises and in the cloud. You will help drive automation, improve deployment reliability, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines that power our services.

You will collaborate with internal teams, tackle incidents on a rotating on-call roster, and help modernise our technology stack while strengthening platform resilience.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Systems Engineer or Systems Administrator.
• Strong Linux and/or Windows administration skills.
• Experience managing on-premises infrastructure, virtualisation platforms and backup environments.
• Exposure to infrastructure automation, CI/CD and version control tools such as GitLab.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals.
• A proactive, collaborative approach and strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain physical and virtual server infrastructure.
• Drive automation and improve deployment reliability across environments.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, tooling and operational efficiencies.
• Respond to technical incidents, troubleshoot issues and participate in an on-call roster.
• Work closely with internal teams to deliver infrastructure projects and improvements.
• Help modernise our technology stack and strengthen platform resilience.
