Whizdom is seeking experienced Systems Analysts to support major digital transformation for a large Australian Government organisation. You will bridge business needs and technology, translating complex requirements into actionable designs, and contribute to capability uplift within Scrum or SAFe teams across Brisbane, Melbourne or Wollongong.

Formación

  • Proven experience as a Systems Analyst in a complex enterprise or government environment.
  • Ability to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience analysing complex systems, integrations and data flows.
  • Experience producing user stories, process maps, functional specifications and business rules.
  • Knowledge of Agile delivery practices, including Scrum or SAFe teams.
  • Experience supporting end-to-end technology delivery.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience delivering knowledge transfer or coaching.

About the Opportunity

A leading federal government department is seeking multiple experienced Systems Analysts to support major digital transformation initiatives for a large Australian Government organisation.

You will join a multidisciplinary program responsible for designing important national services used by individuals, businesses and government agencies. Opportunities are available across Agile feature-development and detailed-design Scrum teams, with a focus on AWS-native applications.

Role Overview

As a Systems Analyst, you will analyse complex business processes, assess system impacts and translate business needs into clear, actionable technical and functional requirements.

Acting as a bridge between business and technology teams, you will help ensure solutions are practical, scalable and aligned with strategic objectives. You will also contribute to team capability through coaching, knowledge transfer and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse complex business processes, systems and data flows.
  • Translate business requirements into user stories, process flows and functional specifications.

Required Skills and Experience
  • Proven experience as a Systems Analyst in a complex enterprise or government environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to convert business needs into clear and actionable requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience analysing complex systems, integrations and data flows.
  • Experience producing user stories, process maps, functional specifications and business rules.
  • Knowledge of Agile delivery practices, including experience in Scrum or SAFe teams.
  • Experience supporting end-to-end technology delivery.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience delivering knowledge transfer, coaching or capability uplift.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities without compromising quality.
Desirable Experience

Experience designing solutions using AWS services such as:

  • Lambda
  • ECS or Fargate
  • API Gateway
  • Aurora
  • EventBridge
  • EC2
  • Kinesis

Comparable experience with Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform will also be considered.

Eligibility and Security Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be Australian citizens.
  • Hold a minimum Australian Government Baseline security clearance.
  • Be available to work from Brisbane, Melbourne or Wollongong.
