SYSTEM STUDIES AND ANALYSIS SENIOR PRINCIPAL ENGINEER

The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering all necessary documents, information, materials, and programs for the conduct of system studies and analysis in accordance with the mandate of TechMD.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Research and Standards Development Manager, gather necessary documents and information for system studies and analysis.
  • Prepare documentary requirements for compliance with audit findings and monitor the implementation of SEIL.
  • Provide technical support to technical groups.
  • Gather related reference documents, information, materials, and programs for system studies and analysis.
  • Conduct data gathering and research for technical studies and analysis.
  • Formulate a plan for benchmarking with other utilities on best practices and performance indices applicable to power systems.
  • Participate in meetings with technical groups on matters pertaining to system studies and analysis.
  • Attend discussion meetings with various manufacturers and suppliers regarding new technologies for technical studies.
  • Prepare necessary documents for compliance with audit findings.
  • Coordinate with technical groups for the enhancement of technical standards for compliance with audit findings.
  • Review SEIL of Single Line Diagrams (SLD) submitted by technical groups.
  • Prepare the Annual Progress Report on SEIL labelling.
  • Conduct compliance audits on installed SEIL on substations and transmission lines.
  • Monitor the progress and adherence of technical groups on the standard labelling system.
  • Recommend revisions of the SEIL Manual, if necessary, in coordination with the SEIL Task Force.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
  • Registered Electrical Engineer
  • Four (4) years in the field of power system with two (2) years of relevant experience
  • Oral and written proficiency
  • Undergone at least 16 hours of relevant supervisory trainings/seminars
  • Knowledge in power system theories and applications and national and international standards
  • With relevant trainings on Quality, Safety, and Environmental Standards
