Job summary

Boeing Defence Australia is seeking an experienced System Administrator to support the Wakulda Program at Defence Precinct Edinburgh, SA. You will maintain and administer the Wakulda System, a leading air defence C2 platform, in a fast-paced development and sustainment environment.

Responsibilities include incident resolution, stakeholder liaison, and deploying system updates, with a strong emphasis on security and Defence governance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in IT systems administration.
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting and administering Microsoft infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting and administering networking infrastructure.
  • Defence knowledge.
  • A strong work ethic and urgency to complete work on schedule.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Meet US Government's nationality requirements for ITAR clearance.
  • Minimum NV1 Defence Security Clearance.
  • Australian Citizenship required.

The opportunity

As an experienced System Administrator, you will perform the role of Wakulda Service Technician. You will provide maintenance services and support to the Boeing Defence Australia Wakulda Program located at Defence Precinct Edinburgh, South Australia.The Wakulda System is a world-leading Air Defence C2 System. It is a network-centric ground-based air surveillance and control system, which supports C4ISR capabilities to conduct surveillance and air battlespace management missions. Boeing is responsible for delivering spiral upgrades over the next five years in a fast paced, agile and responsive development and sustainment environment, while maximizing mission availability for the Australian Defence Force. Experience/Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 Years' experience in IT systems administration

  • Demonstrated Defence knowledge
  • A strong work ethic and a sense of urgency for completing work to agreed schedules
  • Ability to resolve complex problems that require a high level of ingenuity and innovation
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively independently and within a group environment and with people across all organisational levels
  • Meet the United States Government's nationality requirements for ITAR clearance
  • Experience in integration of Communications and Electronic support products in a Defence environment (desirable)
  • Experience within Defence or complex engineering project environments (desirable)
  • Minimum NV1 Defence Security Clearance
  • Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements.
