Job summary

Applejack Hospitality is hiring a Guest Experience Officer to welcome guests at Opera Bar on Sydney Harbour. You’ll move across the venue, chat with locals and visitors, take orders on crew phones and upsell in a natural, friendly way.

We’re relaunching this October for a busy summer; you’ll be part of a vibrant team, with opportunities to grow across venues and access staff benefits. A current NSW RSA is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or customer service is great, but personality matters.
• Must hold a current NSW RSA.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming guests and creating a brilliant first impression
• Chatting with locals, tourists and visitors from all over the world
• Taking food and drink orders directly from the floor using our crew phones
• Upselling and making recommendations in a genuine, natural way
• Helping guests navigate the venue and answering questions
• Spotting opportunities to make someone’s experience even better
• Supporting the wider floor, bar and service teams wherever needed
• Bringing energy, personality and good vibes to every shift
