Haus, a Los Angeles–based digital design studio, is seeking a Sydney-based Art Director to shape the visual direction of motion-driven projects and lead the team from concept through final delivery.

You’ll review storyboards, guide animation, and ensure craft, clarity, and consistency, collaborating with Creative Directors, Designers, and Motion Artists, while presenting work to clients with confidence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in design or art direction with a strong portfolio
• Refined eye for layout, typography, composition, and visual storytelling
• Strong understanding of motion design principles: timing, pacing, transitions
• Experience developing and reviewing style frames, storyboards, moodboards, and motion treatments
• Fluency in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects)
• Experience directing Motion Designers and providing constructive feedback
• Ability to translate complex ideas into clear, engaging content
• Confidence presenting work to clients and cross-functional teams
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to craft
• Collaborative, ego-free approach to making work better

Responsabilités

• Guide the visual direction of static and motion-driven projects from concept through final delivery
• Collaborate with CDs and ECDs to translate briefs into visual narratives and design approaches
• Review and provide actionable feedback on designs, storyboards, style frames, animatics, and motion deliverables
• Direct designers and motion artists to elevate design and animation quality
• Ensure consistency in typography, composition, color, pacing, transitions, and visual storytelling
• Present creative work and articulate design decisions to stakeholders and clients
