Join a dedicated team committed to strengthening midwifery education and workforce capability across the District. As a Midwifery Educator Grade 2, you will work collaboratively with midwifery leaders, clinicians and stakeholders to identify learning needs, develop and deliver evidence-based education programs, support students and early career midwives, and contribute to professional development initiatives that enhance clinical practice, patient outcomes and woman-centred care. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the future midwifery workforce while supporting excellence in maternity services.
Working alongside the Midwifery Educator Grade 3, you will contribute to strategic education initiatives, workforce development programs, quality improvement activities and research projects. You will build strong collaborative networks, support the professional growth of Clinical Midwifery Educators, and play a key role in attracting, developing and retaining nurses and midwives across the District. This is an excellent opportunity to further develop skills in clinical education, program development, facilitation, stakeholder engagement and service-wide project delivery.
The ideal candidate is an experienced and motivated midwife with a passion for education, workforce development and supporting the delivery of safe, high-quality, woman-centred care. Demonstrated ability to apply evidence-based practice, adult learning principles and cultural competence in the development and delivery of education programs will be highly regarded. Strong communication, collaboration and relationship-building skills are essential to effectively engage with clinicians, educators and senior nursing and midwifery leaders across a diverse healthcare environment.
Success in this role requires the ability to manage competing priorities, contribute to quality improvement and research activities, and maintain professional and clinical currency in line with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia standards.
