Job summary

Mitchell Shire Council is seeking a friendly Swim Instructor to join our casual team at Seymour and Kilmore Leisure Centres. You will educate a range of age groups on water safety and deliver engaging programs, helping to maintain a safe, welcoming aquatic environment.

The role operates seven days a week during the summer season, with an hourly rate starting at $43.74 plus superannuation. You will hold current Level 2 First Aid, a Working with Children Check and a recognised aquatic

• Must hold Level 2 First Aid (HLTAID003).
• Current Working with Children Check.
• Current AUSTSWIM or equivalent aquatic accreditation.

About the Opportunity

A typical day in the role includes educating a range of age groups on water safety by the development of fun and engagement programs, supporting the provision of a safe environment for patrons, ensuring that the Aquatic Facilities operates in a clean, hygienic and safe manner in accordance with health regulations and public safety requirements. Our Leisure Centres operate seven (7) days a week with outdoor pools running through the Summer Season.

This is a casual opportunity with the hourly rate beginning at $43.74 (LSO Band 3) plus superannuation.

Positions are available at both Seymour and Kilmore Leisure Centres

About You

You will be energetic, passionate and fun. You work well within a team, have outstanding communication skills and enjoy dealing with the public. You take initiative and are professional in your approach. You will possess a current level 2 first aid (HLTAID003, current Employee Working with Children Check and current AUSTSWIM or similar accreditation.
