Job summary

Language Trainers is seeking a native Swedish-speaking freelance tutor in Canberra to deliver one-to-one sessions for beginners. The role centers on flexible scheduling and personalized lesson planning to help clients gain basic conversational Swedish.

You will conduct two-hour sessions, about 22 total hours, with weekly Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday slots. Visa sponsorship is not provided; local work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• Must be a native Swedish speaker or hold a relevant teaching qualification.
• Experience as a language teacher, translator or interpreter is preferred.
• Must have valid work permit/visa for Australia.
• Resident within 30 km of Canberra 2602 area or nearby.

Responsibilities

• Lead one-to-one Swedish language lessons with beginner students.
• Tailor lessons to client goals, provide feedback, and track progress.
