Job summary

St Vincent's Care Services Werribee is seeking a dedicated Personal Care Assistant to support residents with daily living and personal care in a compassionate, person-centred environment.

You will work with a friendly care team to implement care plans, assist with grooming, mobility and social activities, and ensure dignity and comfort for residents. Training and wellbeing programs are provided, with opportunities to grow in a not-for-profit health and aged care setting.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support or Aged Care is essential.
• Experience in an aged care environment.
• Provides personal care in line with care plan and organisation philosophy.
• Experience assisting with grooming, mobility, meals, toileting, and social activities.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to follow care plans and instructions.
• Understanding of aged care rights and responsibilities.
• Vaccinated against influenza and COVID-19.
• National Police Certificate.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check may be required.

As a Personal Care Assistant, you’ll be part of an experienced, engaged and dedicated team helping to create a welcoming, professional and supportive care experience for the residents of St Vincent's Care Service, Werribee.

St Vincent’s Care Services Werribee is a contemporary boutique aged care facility, providing a high-quality haven of care within the centrally-located Wyndham Health Precinct. It is an 80 bed facility located 30km south-west of Melbourne's city centre.

Things that work for us:

• Certificate III in Individual Support / Certificate III Aged Care or similar qualification is essential.
• Experience in an aged care environment.
• Personal care provision that is consistent with the mission and philosophy of our organisation.
• Experience providing services and activities centred around client needs including grooming, showering, mobility, meals, toileting, social activities.
• High level of customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to follow directives as per care plan.
• Understanding of Aged Care and resident rights and responsibilities.
• Vaccinated (and maintain up-to-date vaccinations) against Influenza and Covid-19.
• National Police Certificate.
