Job summary

Vision Surveys is seeking a full-time Construction Surveyor to join our team. This role operates on a Fly-in, Fly-out (FIFO) roster of 2 weeks on, 1 week off from Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast or Gold Coast.

You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality surveying services across construction and civil projects while enjoying the flexibility of a structured roster. Proficient use of Leica or Trimble equipment and experience with survey software such as 12d, Magnet and AutoCAD will be essential.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Leica OR Trimble surveying equipment.
• Experience using surveying software including 12d, Magnet and AutoCAD advantageous.
• Degree or Diploma in Surveying or a related discipline.
• Proven experience working as a Surveyor or in a similar surveying role.
• Understanding of land surveying standards, processes and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Strong communication and organisational capabilities.
• Current open driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field surveys, site measurements and data collection.
• Prepare survey plans, reports and spatial data outputs.
• Operate surveying instruments including GPS, total stations and digital levels.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications, legislation and safety requirements.
• Liaise with clients, engineers, site managers and internal teams.
• Manage project documentation and maintain accurate records.
• Report to and communicate with the Survey Manager.
