Job summary

CPB Contractors is seeking a Surveyor to join the Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail Project, a major civil infrastructure initiative south of Brisbane. You will apply surveying expertise on a large-scale construction site, ensuring accurate set-outs, QA and data management across multiple disciplines.

Ideal candidates have a Diploma in Surveying, experience on civil/mining/construction projects, strong safety focus and proficiency with 12d and AutoCAD, total station and GPS tools, and excellent

The Project

The Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail (LGC) Project will double the number of rail tracks and upgrade stations for a section of the Gold Coast Line from Kuraby, a suburb approximately 16km south of Brisbane’s CBD, to Beenleigh, a suburb of Logan City.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

• Experience as a Surveyor on a major civil, mining or construction project
• Certification in Surveying(minimum Diploma)
• Strong attitude and awareness of safety
• High level verbal and written communication skills
• Competency in survey software packages such as 12d.
• Competency in CAD/drafting software packages such as Autocad
• Experience with current survey equipment and project survey operation requirements including total station, GPS, machine guidance and laser scanning technologies
• Ideally, experience working with subcontracted survey crews on a major construction project
• Knowledge of major project survey processes including survey control networks, detailed design survey, construction set-out, as-built survey, survey data management systems and QA requirements
