Job summary

Northbridge IT Recruitment Propr in Sydney NSW is seeking a Surveyor at junior to mid-level with experience in underground infrastructure. You will conduct site inspections, locate services, and gather GPS/GNSS data to support an Australian-first underground network program.

This contract role offers a 10 days on/4 days off roster across NSW, with travel and site-based work, and opportunities to work with new technology in AI, cloud, and data center sectors.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated surveying experience for underground infrastructure builds.
• Experience in construction, civil, utilities, telecommunications or underground infrastructure.
• Proficiency with GPS/GNSS equipment and field data capture.
• Full driver’s license; White Card and construction tickets desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections and pre-construction surveys.
• Locate and document underground and above-ground services.
• Capture GPS/GNSS data, coordinates, photographs and field records.
• Assess routes, hazards, obstacles and potential service clashes.
• Support construction, directional drilling, cable ploughing, ripper-dozer and underground infrastructure works.
• Maintain accurate records and submit timely reports in line with project requirements.

• Current driver’s licence; White Card and relevant construction tickets are desirable.
