Job summary

Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service in Hervey Bay is seeking a Registered Nurse (Nurse Grade 5) for our Surgical Unit. You will join a 44-bed ward under the leadership of an experienced Nurse Unit Manager and Clinical Nurse Consultant to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.

Qualifications

• Mandatory nursing qualification and current AHPRA registration with practising certificate.
• Proof of qualification and registration or membership with the appropriate authority; provide copies prior to clinical duties.
• Context-specific postgraduate qualification in nursing is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and patient-centred care within the Surgical Unit.
• Support quality and cost‑effective nursing services aligned with contemporary standards and evidence-informed practice.
• Work under the guidance of the Nurse Unit Manager and Clinical Nurse Consultant.
