Avenue Dental in Stafford, Brisbane, is seeking a Surgical Dental Assistant to join its brand-new practice. You will support clinicians in surgical procedures, including implants and extractions, and help maintain high infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Experienced in dental assisting, ideally with exposure to surgical procedures or implant dentistry.
• Confident working in a clinical environment with infection control and sterilisation protocols.
• Highly organised, proactive and able to anticipate the needs of clinicians.
• Calm under pressure, adaptable and comfortable working in a busy surgical environment.
• A fantastic communicator who genuinely cares about patients and their experience.
• Eager to learn, develop new skills and grow your career in advanced dentistry.
• A positive team player who brings energy, enthusiasm and a great attitude to work!
• Experience in surgical dentistry, dental implants or sedation procedures will be highly regarded.

Responsabilités

• Assisting clinicians with surgical procedures, including dental implants, extractions and other advanced dental treatments.
• Preparing surgical rooms, instruments and equipment to ensure procedures run efficiently.
• Maintaining exceptional infection control, sterilisation and surgical aseptic standards.
• Supporting the team with IV sedation and general anaesthetic procedures within your training, qualifications and scope of practice.
• Coordinating surgical setups, equipment and materials to ensure smooth clinical workflows.
• Providing compassionate patient care before, during and after surgical procedures.
• Working collaboratively with our clinicians and wider team to deliver an outstanding patient experience.
