Job summary

STAT Recruitment is assisting a regional NSW hospital in Bathurst to recruit a General Surgery Registrar for on-site duties in a busy surgical service. The role offers a $1500 daily rate, with on-call requirements from 0700-1900 on-site, and 1900-0700 off-site, plus 24/7 consultant support and travel/accommodation provisions.

Handover occurs Monday at 0700; roster includes OT, ward rounds, METs and clinical reviews.

Job description

On the banks of the Macquarie River in the Central Tablelands of NSW, the vibrant regional centre of Bathurst is rich with history and gold rush heritage. With Mount Panorama-Whaluu rising in the distance, its also the home of Australian motor racing and a hotspot for motorsport enthusiasts.

This hospital consists of an emergency department and inpatient beds, as well as community health services. Also located on site is Daffodil Cottage, which provides cancer care services.

General Surgery Registrar required

• $1500 daily rate
• 0700-1900 onsite and on call, then 1900-0700 offsite and on call
• Handover to incoming on call Registrar Monday @ 0700
• OT, ward rounds, METs, clinical reviews, etc
• Consultant available 24/7
