Job summary

Flinders University in Bedford Park (Kaurna Country) invites applications for a Senior Lecturer in Surgery. Part time 0.2FTE, continuing, Academic Level C, with a pro rata salary of AUD 141,370–AUD 162,619.

You will lead clinician scientist initiatives, advance surgical research and deliver innovative teaching while maintaining healthcare connections. You will hold a PhD (or equivalent) and lead teaching, research and mentorship across clinical education, supervision of honours and HDR students,

Qualifications

PhD (or equivalent qualification) with excellence in tertiary teaching, curriculum development and course coordination.
Established research profile with high-quality publications and success in securing funding.
Engaging leader and mentor fostering collaborative teams and student development.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement across academia, healthcare, industry and networks.

Responsibilities

Lead planning, delivery and evaluation of Clinician Scientist Academy initiatives with health-sector stakeholders.
Drive research outcomes through publications, grants, mentoring and supervision of HDR students.
Deliver innovative teaching including curriculum development, placement leadership and learning tech.
Build strategic relationships with industry, professional organisations and healthcare partners.
