Job summary

Epiroc is hiring experienced surface and underground Fitters to join our Kalgoorlie Service team. These workshop-based roles offer field service opportunities and site support across the region.

As a fitter, you will perform repairs and maintenance on surface and underground mining equipment, ensure compliance with OH&S and quality policies, and provide strong customer service while building trusted relationships with our clients.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as Fitter or equivalent.
• Extensive experience with heavy mobile mining equipment.

Responsibilities

• Comply with Epiroc and customer SHEQ and WHS requirements.
• Creating and developing strong relationships with customers and team members.
• Carrying out specialized repairs, rebuilds and maintenance on Epiroc equipment.
• Carrying out service and repairs on mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and RCS systems.
• Troubleshooting complex equipment issues and diagnostic fault finding.
• Provide high level technical product support to customers.

Epiroc is now hiring experienced surface and underground Fitters to join our Kalgoorlie Service team. These roles are being offered on 8/6 or 5/2 roster options. Roles on offer are workshop based with field service opportunities or supporting customers on mining sites in the surrounding region.

As a fitter, you will be responsible for:

• Comply with Epiroc and customer SHEQ and WHS requirements
• Creating and developing strong relationships with customers and team members
• Carrying out specialised repairs, rebuilds and maintenance work on Epiroc's range of surface and underground mining equipment
• Carrying out service and repairs on mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and RCS systems
• Solve complex equipment-related issues including diagnostic fault finding
• Providing a high level of technical product support to our customers

Ideally, you will possess the following experience and qualifications:

• Epiroc surface or underground product experience
• Customer-facing experience or similar
• Extensive experience in the maintenance of heavy mobile mining equipment, hydraulic repairs, diagnostics, and repairs
• Preventative and breakdown maintenance experience
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and fault find complex mechanical and hydraulic problems
• Allison transmission experience preferred but non-essential
• Basic Microsoft applications

The successful candidate must be a strong team player with excellent relationship-building skills. A positive attitude and commitment to all areas of service operations are essential to the job. Additionally, candidates will have an obvious commitment to OH&S, Quality and Environment policies and procedures; they also have a strong desire to deliver best practice solutions for our customer's business.

As part of our recruitment process, we require a National Police Clearance, pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen amongst other verification requirements.
