Rob is 63 and lives in Singleton with his housemate, Craig. He’s a fun, easy-going guy who enjoys a good laugh. Rob loves to socialise with locals when he’s out and about, and he’s always keen to catch a footy game with his mates, especially when his favourite team, the Parramatta Eels, are playing.

Family is super important to Rob, and he stays in regular contact. He enjoys local outings like markets, festivals, and the yearly airshow, as well as Hydro sessions and exploring the local area.

Who We’re Looking For

Rob has a great team of people around him, and we’re looking to add someone who fits right in. You’ll need to be proactive, friendly, and committed to supporting Rob to build and maintain meaningful connections. Ideally, you’ll have experience supporting people with disability, although this isn’t essential.

What You’ll Be Doing

Working Tuesdays and Fridays from 9:00am–4:00pm, with opportunities to pick up other shifts, including sleepovers.

Building a trusted, respectful relationship with Rob and his circle of family and friends.

Supporting Rob to engage in his favourite activities and explore new ones.

Encouraging independence, confidence and community connection

Provide assistance with household tasks, meal prep, medication, some mobility and general personal care.

Supporting Rob to stay safe, while allowing Rob to live his best life.

Training & Requirements

No specific training is required; just an active approach and willingness to learn and understand what it takes to best support Rob.

Current or ability to obtain: Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Check, and First Aid Certificate.
