Job summary

Challenge Community Services is seeking a compassionate Support Worker for Muswellbrook Accommodation Services. You will provide personal care and daily living support to clients with high support needs, including those using wheelchairs and requiring medical assistance, promoting dignity and autonomy.

The role involves assisting with complex needs, fostering independence, and building strong relationships with clients and families.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting high-needs disability clients.
• Confidence in manual handling and use of aids.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility for varied shifts and rostered work.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word & Outlook).
• Current Driver’s Licence, Working With Children Check, NSW NDIS Worker Screening Check, and National Police Check.
• Access to a personal vehicle for work use, if required.
• Knowledge of NDIA processes.

Support Worker - Muswellbrook Accommodation Services - Part Time

Challenge Community Services – Muswellbrook NSW

We’re looking for compassionate and skilledSupport Workersto join our Accommodation Services team. You’ll assist clients with high support needs, including those using wheelchairs and requiring medical support, helping them live with dignity and independence.

The role involves personal care, daily living support, and promoting autonomy within shared living environments.

• SCHAD’s Award Level 2Pay rates from$36.22 – $39.53 (base rate)
• Salary Packaging: Not-for-profit salary packaging available, including $15,900 tax-free + $2,650 meal and entertainment benefits per FBT year. (if eligible)
• Flexible roster with shift work, weekends, public holidays & sleepovers
• Option to purchase extra annual leave (if eligible)
