Job summary

We are seeking a confident Care & Support Worker to deliver outstanding healthcare at Kirkside House in Leeds. This full-time role is 42 hours per week with 12-hour shifts on a two-week rolling rota, including alternate weekends, and daytime hours.

You will provide person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities and complex needs, ensuring safety while promoting independence. A DBS check is required and the post is male-only due to genuine occupational need.

• Experience in care or support roles preferred.
• Genuine interest in helping adults with learning disabilities and complex needs.
• DBS check required prior to starting.

Responsibilities

• Provide enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for residents.

We are looking for a confident Care & Support Worker with a passion for delivering outstanding healthcare. You'll be working full time 42 hours a week, 12 hour shifts, including alternate weekends (four shifts week one, three shifts week two, on a two week rolling rota), days only, making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Kirkside House. *Please note that due to a genuine occupational need, we are looking for males only to fill this position* Located in a historical area in Leeds, Kirkside House is a specialist residential service providing outcome focused care for adults with learning disabilities and associated complex needs who may have behaviours that challenge. Person-centred planning is at the heart of everything we do and we are able to meet the changing needs of individuals we support as they progress through their care pathway, while ensuring their safety is maintained and their independence supported. Your day-to-day

• Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care
• Provide guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support
• Learn about individuals specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way
• Assist with and report on medical & welfare needs
• Safeguard Maintain a safe, clean environment for all
• Supporting service users to access the community, to attend things like work, college, hobbies & activities, days out & holidays
• Supporting the service users to grow, develop & learn through engaging them in tasks such as cooking & cleaning
