Southern Cross Care (Qld) is seeking compassionate and qualified Casual Support Workers to join our Community Services teams working across the Gold Coast and Logan River Valley regions.

About the role

As a Support Worker, you will work closely with our Care Managers to deliver a personalised support service to our high care clients living in the community in your area to ensure they live their best lives.

Your genuine passion for the elderly to live their best lives motivates you to strive for the best outcomes for your clients, simultaneously empowering them to achieve their individual goals and improving their quality of life.

What will you bring to the role?

  • Certificate III in Disability, Aged Care, Individual Support, Home & Community Care or equivalent.
  • Current First Aid & CPR certification.
  • Minimum two years' experience in a support role.
  • Sound manual handling knowledge.
  • Exceptional people & interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and to manage your time effectively as you will be required to provide services to multiple clients a day.
  • A current Australian Driver's License.
  • Own reliable car to use for work with full comprehensive car insurance and current registration (documents showing currency required).
  • Eligibility to work in Australia.
  • NDIS Worker Screening clearance (or willingness to apply).
