Overview
Beaumont Care Independent Living is seeking experienced Support Workers to join our team in the Moreton Bay region.
In this role, you will be part of a compassionate care team providing high-quality support to participants receiving Supported Independent Living (SIL) services and community access, with a strong focus on promoting choice, independence, and dignity. This is a casual position with a view to permanency for the right fit, requiring flexibility to work a range of shifts, including early mornings from 6am, inactive sleepovers, and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Manual Handling & Hoisting: Safely assist clients with mobility, including the use of hoists and transfer equipment.
- Personal Care: Provide respectful support with showering, grooming, and hygiene routines.
- Domestic Assistance: Help with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
- Medication Assistance: Administer medications, including insulin, in line with care plans and training.
- Basic Wound Care: Support clients with minor wound management under supervision.
- Bowel Management: Assist with continence care and bowel routines.
- Catheter Support: Provide care and monitoring for clients with urinary catheters.
- Community Access: Support clients to participate in social, recreational, and community activities.

- Extensive experience supporting individuals with spinal injuries, including personal care, mobility assistance, and catheter/bowel management
- Experience working with individuals with brain injuries, with a trauma-informed and person-centred approach
To be successful in this role, you will need
- Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent)
- Current First Aid & CPR certification
- Manual Handling and Hoist training
- Medication Administration training (including insulin)
- Valid Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle
- NDIS Worker Screening Check or relevant background checks
