Job summary

MyCare Keeper is seeking caring Disability Support Workers to join our growing team in Kellyville, NSW. You will provide person-centred support in SIL and community settings, helping participants build independence and achieve goals.

We offer flexible casual shifts, ongoing training, travel reimbursement, penalty rates, and a friendly, supportive team. Applicants should have a Certificate III in IS (Disability) or equivalent, current First Aid/CPR, NDIS Worker Screening, and a valid NSW driver's

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent is required.
• Current First Aid and CPR Certification.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check is required.
• National Police Check is required.
• NSW Driver Licence is required.
• Own reliable vehicle and comprehensive motor vehicle insurance are beneficial.
• Australian working rights in Australia.
• COVID-19 vaccination as required by participant/health directives.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and hygiene support.
• Assist with daily living activities.
• Household cleaning and domestic assistance.
• Meal planning and preparation.
• Medication assistance where qualified.
• Support participants with community access and social activities.
• Transport participants using your own vehicle (travel reimbursed).
• Maintain accurate case notes and documentation.
• Build positive relationships with participants, families and health professionals.
• Promote participant choice, independence and inclusion.

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking caring, reliable, and motivated Disability Support Workers to join our growing team in Kellyville, NSW.

This role involves providing person-centred support to participants in Supported Independent Living (SIL) and within the community, helping them build independence, achieve their goals, and live fulfilling lives.

Available Shifts

We have a range of shifts available, including:

• Morning shifts
• Afternoon shifts
• Evening shifts
• Active Night shifts
• Inactive Sleepover shifts (sleepover allowance applies)
• Monday to Sunday availability
• Weekend and Public Holiday shifts
• Flexible shifts ranging from 4 to 12 hours

Additional shifts may also be available to cover staff leave and increased participant support needs.

Key Responsibilities

Your role may include:

• Providing personal care and hygiene support
• Assisting with daily living activities
• Household cleaning and domestic assistance
• Meal planning and preparation
• Medication assistance (where qualified)
• Supporting participants with community access and social activities
• Transporting participants using your own reliable vehicle (travel reimbursed)

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Current National Police Check
• Current NSW Driver Licence
• Own reliable vehicle
• Comprehensive motor vehicle insurance
• Australian working rights
• Current COVID-19 vaccinations (where required by participant or current health directives)

Desirable

• Working With Children Check
• Minimum 12 months' experience in disability support, aged care, or community services
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A positive attitude and genuine passion for supporting people with disability
